What ingredients to avoid in your shampoo:
If your shampoo has any of these ingredients consider tossing it out!!
People often confuse the sensation of lather as a deeper clean but here’s why it doesn’t work like that:
😟SULFATES:
-Strips color
-Removes natural oils on scalp and hair
-Causes hair to be frizzy, dry and brittle
-If you have a sensitive scalp it will over dry & causes scalp irritation
-If used in conjunction with hard water sulfates over dry hair and scalp
😟PARABENS:
-Commonly thought of as good because they’re a preservative & stop the growth of fungus, bacteria and microbes. BUT cumulative exposure to chemicals can overload our bodies & contribute to larger health problems like #breastcancer or reproductive toxicity (!!!)😱
-all of the following are examples of parabens to watch out for: methlPARABEN, EthylPARABEN , proplyPARABEN, butylPARABEN, and isobutylPARABEN= PARABENS
😟TRICLOSAN:
-Disrupts cell communication that is necessary for muscles to function properly.
-Causes failure in both your heart and skeletal muscle cells.
😟POLYETHYLENE GLYCOL:
-Chemical that makes toxic ingredients easier to enter the body
-Linked to contamination w/ ethylene oxide and 1,4 dioxane which are both associated with causing multiple kinds of #cancer (!!!!)
-Commonly listed as “PEG” w/ a number ex “PED-40”
